Off‑grid living
Everything you need,
from your own land.
Off‑grid does not mean without. It means the sun powers the house, the rain fills the tanks, and dinner grows within sight of the kitchen window.

Power from the sun.
Every home runs on its own solar array with battery storage, sized for the whole house — lights, pumps, fridge, fans and the pool filter — with the valley's shared arrays as backup for the learning centre and common spaces.
No load‑shedding. No generator hum at night. No bill from anyone.

Water from the rain.
Rainwater is collected from every roof, road and field into household tanks and the valley's lake and community dam. Grey water from the house feeds the orchard; nothing is wasted.
The lake is also where the valley meets — a walk, a swim on a hot evening, tea by the dam.
Food from your own soil.
Five kanal is enough to feed a family, and then some. This is what one plot can carry — the learning centre helps you plan and plant it, season by season.
Vegetables & herbs
Raised beds fed by compost from the house and animals. Fresh produce most of the year.
Orchard
Citrus, guava, plum, loquat, fig — twenty‑five to thirty‑five trees at proper spacing.
Goats & poultry
A shed for four to six goats and a small poultry run. Milk and eggs every morning.
Honeybees
Two or three hives in the orchard. Better fruit, and honey for the year.
Wheat & rice
A small grain patch — wheat in winter, rice or maize in summer — enough for a household.
Composting
Kitchen and animal waste back into the soil. The plot feeds itself.

Room to be still.
Zen Valley is a spiritual society, not a religious order. It is a community of people who want a slower, more deliberate life close to the land — with quiet spaces by the water for prayer, meditation and reflection, and neighbours who chose the same.
All faiths and none are welcome. What we share is the pace.

Children grow up here.
No through‑traffic. No screens in the orchard. A lake to learn to swim in, goats to feed before school, and a sky clear enough to see the Milky Way from the veranda.
The learning centre runs weekend sessions for children — seeds, bees, compost, stars — so the next generation knows how the valley works.
A day in the valley.
The rhythm of the day is set by light and season, not by a schedule.
First light
Mist lifts off the lake. Someone is already in the orchard.
Breakfast from the garden
Eggs, tomatoes, mint, honey. The batteries are already full.
The learning centre
A permaculture workshop, or just shade and tea by the dam.
Long shadows
Children on the earth roads. Goats coming home. A swim before dinner.
Real stars, real quiet
No streetlights. No generator hum. Just the valley, quiet.

See how it works, on the ground.
The valley is best understood standing in it. Message us and we will arrange a visit, or answer your questions first.
